Hello.
I have experience working on a wide range of building types. These include offices, business and retail parks, industrial buildings, financial institutions, educational establishments, airports, hospitals, nursing homes, military, sport and entertainment facilities, distribution depots, shopping centres and mixed use developments.
Each building differs in relation to the services installed, its complexity, age and condition, maintenance and repair works undertaken, issues experienced, current defects and future requirements. This provides an interesting range of diversity and variety and I am also motivated by achieving the quick turnarounds and deadlines which technical due diligence reports often require.
Professional services work has taken me around the UK and also Europe, including countries such as France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland and the Czech Republic.
I believe that sustainable and efficient engineering is fundamental to the development, construction, occupation, operation and maintenance of the highest quality buildings and their internal environments.
Outside of work, I enjoy all things outdoor. Having recently retired from playing local league football, I now try and impart my (limited) knowledge to local youth teams in a teaching role.
