Alan is Chairman and is responsible for all financial and business performance related matters at TFT. His technical areas of expertise are change and people management, business strategy and planning, technical due diligence, development management and project monitoring.
He is also a member of the RICS Tall Buildings Fire Safety Working Group and the Cranfield 50 – a network of leading entrepreneurs. Alan is the key account partner for The Crown Estate which includes the recent completion of Rushden Lakes, a £200m retail and leisure scheme and is currently involved in the strategic development of the land to the west of the Rushden Lakes site.
Other notable projects include the construction of a new hospital at the Queen Elizabeth II site in Birmingham.
Since graduating from university in 2017, William has completed his structured training with TFT to pass his RICS APC and become a chartered building surveyor.
William has gained experience in a broad range of projects and instructions from technical due diligence, vendor and pre-acquisition surveys, dilapidations and contract administration and is also a member of the TFT’s fire safety working group.
He has recently carried out contract administrator services to an external repairs project to a retail store in Glasgow, pre-acquisition TDD surveys in Carlisle and Berwick Upon Tweed alongside dilapidations instructions, acting for both landlord and tenant.
Independent property and construction consultancy TFT today announced three graduate appointments to its teams in Cardiff, Edinburgh and Manchester.
David Bevan has joined TFT in Cardiff as Graduate Building Surveyor. He joins from Lambert Smith Hampton and obtained a BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying from the University of Westminster, London. He reports to Partner John Newton, who heads up TFT’s Cardiff business.
William Bliss joins TFT’s team in Edinburgh, which is led by Technical Partner Neil Wotherspoon. William is a Graduate Building Surveyor at TFT and previously worked for the City of Glasgow Council. He has a BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying from Glasgow Caledonian University.
Kit Lu has joined TFT as Graduate Building Surveyor with the firm’s Manchester business, under the leadership of Partner Hugo Bradley. Kit recently completed an internship at Trident Building Consultancy Ltd and prior to this he obtained an MSc in Building Surveying from Nottingham Trent University.
