This new partnership follows a long-standing association between the two firms. Brannigan and TFT have worked together for UK clients both managing and developing assets in Ireland, in particular, across retail and logistics sectors. It also follows TFT’s announcement last month that it will be opening new hubs in Leeds and Southampton, tapping into new reginal growth locations and the associated talent there. This next strategic move places TFT at the heart of the fifth busiest real estate market in Europe with €3 billion having been invested between the end of last year and the third quarter of 2021.
Ali Alistair, Managing Partner of TFT added: “Dublin is one the most promising real estate markets in Europe, outperforming cities such as Oslo, Milan and Manchester. With 90% of Ireland’s institutional commercial real estate investment focused into the city, as well as smaller but potentially attractive commercial hubs in both Cork and Belfast, we are looking forward to expanding TFT’s deep local knowledge and close-knit team culture in Ireland.
The Irish economy has been a surprise performer throughout the pandemic, with key sectors including logistics and PRS, with investor appetite outstripping supply.
Kevin Brannigan added: “As a result of this merger, our existing client base will benefit from my team’s service and the wider expertise of TFT. Together we can help bridge UK clients across to the Irish built environment by using our knowledge of the different regulations and market drivers.”
