TFT was instructed by a confidential client to undertake Technical Due Diligence (TDD) to inform the freehold purchase of a former BNP Bank HQ in Switzerland. The building, located in the central banking district of Geneva, has six storeys and seven basement levels, and has a complex construction involving triple glazing, rain screen cladding, integral blinds, and a roof protected by reclaimed glass pebbles. Of particular interest is the water cooling for the building which is fed by Lake Geneva.
As part of our reporting, we also managed the M&E and environmental aspects while TFT Geomatics produced IPMS and GIA plans. A reinstatement insurance cost assessment was also provided. We were involved from initial site visits and regular conference calls with the client’s project team and their lawyers right up to the day of purchase.
Our work has provided clear and comprehensive reporting, informed the transaction process, and ensured that the client had the right information within their own timescales.
