The Crown Estate
TFT was instructed by The Crown Estate to undertake technical due diligence for their acquisition of the site and are project monitoring the development up to completion.
Rushden Lakes is a new £60m retail and leisure destination in the Nene Valley, Northamptonshire. The three phase development, which commenced in 2015, are housing retail units, an eleven screen cinema, restaurants and parking spaces for 1,800 cars and, in keeping with the nature of the site, a boathouse. Anchor tenants are M&S, House of Fraser and Primark.
The Retail Park comprises 30 acres of the 244 acre site of special scientific interest (SSSI) which also includes a network of lakes, footpath and cycle routes. Public access was restored and the whole site had become a major destination for the wider community.
The retail elements were completed in April 2017 and the leisure aspects were finished in August 2018.
