Blanchardstown Centre, Dublin

Blanchardstown Centre is one of Ireland’s largest shopping and leisure destinations, welcoming 350,000 shoppers each week.

The entire complex covers approximately 1.7m square feet, including a main shopping centre of two floors, two retail parks and a food and beverage hub, along with parking for some 5,500 cars.

Our team in Dublin took on the challenge of surveying this vast site on behalf of investment funds managed by Strategic Value Partners, LLC and its affiliates (SVP). Our team included surveyors and mechanical and electrical engineers, who together provided SVP with a well-rounded view of the buildings and their condition to inform the transaction.

Did you know a peer review of a vendor’s technical due diligence report can reduce your risk?

For Blanchardstown Centre, TFT supported SVP by providing an independent survey of the entire site, applying our technical knowledge of important asset issues with the commercial awareness of costs and our clients’ strategic needs. Together, we were able to advise our client with the crucial information they needed to know about the asset, over and above the vendor’s own report.

The results of this kind of work can include potential cost savings, identifying previously unknown concerns, and by the end of the process allows clients to proceed with greater confidence in the value and potential of an asset.

Blanchardstown mall was sold for a reported value of about €600 million. It is SVP’s first purchase in Ireland, and was a record-setting deal when it completed in 2024.
