TFT’s role as Cost Consultant was part of a range of services which we provided for the Grade II listed Freemasons’ Hall, including Design, Contract Administration, Project Management and CDM Advisory.
The works involved creating new toilet facilities to serve as a grand statement during corporate use of the Hall by events such as Fashion Week. Extensive use of Italian marble and bespoke joinery have created the desired wow factor in the most important public area within this fine Art Deco building.
The cost consultancy work included the full package from initial feasibility through to completion, including: cost planning, compilation of tender documents and analysis of tender returns, post tender negotiations; contract administration; monitoring project costs and reporting to the client, The United Grand Lodge of England; carrying out all valuations and issuing recommendation for payment; and closing the final account.
A complex design solution has delivered form and function and the new facilities, with feature vestibule, now reflect the quality and prestige of the original building.
